I read this book as part of a book club and willam made me feel like I was back at school being forced to read a book for my grades. Sahib Begum and Sahib Allum. Kirkpatrick inhabited a world that was far more hybrid, and with whits less clearly defined ethnic, national and religious borders, than we have all been conditioned to expect.
